Make Lace not War

From July 30, 2011 the Powerhouse Museum will stage a spectacular, ground-breaking exhibition of contemporary lace works by artists and designers from around the world that showcases design in ways never before seen or ever imagined.

Around 130 lace works by 134 artists from 20 countries will feature in Love Lace, which will open for Sydney Design 2011. The exhibition is drawn from finalists of the Powerhouse Museum’s third international Lace Award that attracted an outstanding field of 700 entries globally.

Dr Dawn Casey, Director, Powerhouse Museum, said: “This truly unique exhibition draws connections between the traditionally disparate disciplines of science, design and technology in an astonishing showcase of contemporary ingenuity from a wide range of design disciplines from around the globe.”

Pug is the new Black

Meet Charlie our new mascot, he is particularly cool, very handsome and comes complete with a naughty sense of humour. Available in all black or black and fawn… The colour in Charlies life apart from his breakfast and dinner is in his blue Burberry harness and lead and he also likes his new ‘Dogue” harness … blue again. My point is to bring colour into your life be it in shoes, shirt, pin or scarf and the important thing is to introduce a colour that compliments you. Choose a silver base that is blues, greys, pinks if you have Blue eyes or a gold base green, camel, tangerine if you have Brown or Hazel eyes. Charlie loves his Turquoise blues always a winner with his neutral colouring.

On to more important topics my car man John tells me “White is the new Black.”

TIP… use ‘Degreaser Tyre Cleaner’ on the BBQ,Oven or other greasy areas, removes the grime quickly and without much effort.
